A Psychiatrist, Sex Therapist, Author & Motivational Speaker, Dr Vaishnav is a visionary in the field of psychiatry since 40 years & among the pioneers to propagate healthy mental health. He has travelled the journey from being MBBS Student at B J Medical college in 1973 to MD in psychiatry in 1981.
Being inspired by ever energetic and youthful father late Dharnidharprasad & Enthusiastic and golden hearted mother Pramodaben, Dr. Vaishnav was achieving one after other milestones in his life. In his twenties he came across a motivational quote hence for the past 39 years he had looked in the mirror every morning and asked himself, “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I’m about to do today.” The answer was No and he realised that he needs to Change himself.
Hence rather than remaining only practicing psychiatrist he went to remote places & Rural India for Mental Health & Sexual health awareness. On several occasions I exposed inhuman healing practices.

Leadership & Skills
He started the crusade to fight against stigma and blind faiths against mental health related illnesses by organizing mental health Awareness Lectures and seminar, workshop and public meetings. He conducted more than 1800 psycho-education public lectures & more than 250 seminars.
He proved the power of pen by expressing his views through his columns in Multi lingual newspapers like Jansatta, Sandesh, Punjab Kesari, Times of India and Gujarat Samachar & magazines like Chiktralekha, Abhiyaan, Sakhi & Stree.
He has authored 3134 articles in his columns, authored 15 books in various languages and awarded with Gujarati & Hindi Sahitya Parishad & Academy awards. He is regularly seen on various television programs and radio talk shows. He has remarkable presence on social media i.e. YouTube, FB, Twitter, & Instagram.

Dr. Vaishnav has extensively travelled in each and every part of the state, Country & across the globe to conduct more than 500 & academic lectures, symposia, seminars. He is a well reputed Faculty at National & International level in the field of Psychiatry, Sexology & allied medicines.
He is credited with 16 Prestigious academic awards and had more than 44 academic published papers in indexed journals on his names. He has also authored chapters in 4 books and Chief Editor of “Text Book of Sexual Medicine”.
He is director of Institute of Psychological & Sexual research and conducted More than 25 Clinical trials for FDA, EU &DCGI.
Dr. Mrugesh Vaishnav is a renowned psychiatrist in India. He is a qualified mental and sexual health specialist. He is a dedicated and passionate psychiatrist who has kept the profession close to his heart by providing help to the suffering individuals, their caregivers, families and thereby serving the society at large. He is Founder trustee of Samvedana Foundation an NGO which organizes social service activities & advocacy for patients suffering of psychiatric disorders.
In February 2018 he was honoured by his fraternity by electing him as the National Vice President cum president of Indian Psychiatric Society. And he took charge as National President of Indian Psychiatry Society in Jan. 2020.
